Become a falconer for a day

During this two-hour course, you will have the opportunity to learn the over 3000-year-old traditions of falconry. As a falconer for a day, you will help prepare food for the birds and perform essential tasks such as weighing them and mounting a transmitter, also known as telemetry or GPS.

You will learn how to handle birds of prey and how they fly in their natural environment. This includes understanding bird behavior and learning why and how they fly in the wind. You will experience how you can work with them on their own terms, which makes it a great flying experience for both the birds and yourself.

You will also work closely with the birds with deep respect for them and their unique behavior, which must be observed and understood throughout the course. There will also be time to ask questions about keeping birds of prey, what it takes and what rules and laws apply in Denmark regarding birds of prey.
