Meet the team behind the Falkecenter

For many years, I lived a hectic everyday life studying and focusing on my career - a life I loved!

However, I always wondered about the word 'happiness'. What exactly is happiness? What does happiness feel like? Was I happy? That was until the day the white-tailed eagle Jerome landed on my arm for the first time.

The falconer in the Spanish zoo shouted "run, run!" as the four-kilo white-tailed eagle looped high in the blue sky above, and then plummeted down towards me. That moment, it felt like there was champagne in my blood, filled with dopamine, endorphins and adrenaline. In the split-second before Jerome landed on my arm, I thought - almost like a release, after decades of wondering about happiness - "THIS IS HAPPINESS!!!"

From that day in the summer of 2007, my life changed forever. I was hooked and there was no turning back. I knew immediately that this was something special that I had to explore.

I've been practicing for 13 years now with daily flights, presentations, teaching, one-on-one instruction, etc. and I still love it just as much.

The next big thing I have planned with the birds is in-depth team building and retreats where the birds help us, as humans, to understand our place in the world.
